Meet Brittney

Born in Flint, MI, and raised in Port Huron, MI, Brittney Sherell has arisen from being labeled a ward of the state, to becoming an author and founder of a non-profit to support youth in foster care. Brittney's book "A Suitcase And A Dream" chronicles memorable life experiences from childhood abuse and growing up in the foster care system, through the eyes of a child.
Brittney has now founded the non-profit, also named A Suitcase and a Dream, where her mission is to provide a sense of belonging and a reminder to never stop dreaming, for youth aging out of foster care.
